When planning our lay-out, we specifically designed a dedicated area for families with toddlers and young children where the parents can be close to the action of the main stage but also be able to keep an eye on their little ones. On the other side of the stage and beer garden we will have a cocktail bar with adult activities and interests.
Being an event around water, we commit to always put Safety First.

Camping with Electricity – Sold out
Camping without electricity without facilities (LIMITED stands available) R600 per stand for the weekend (not per night) (Friday, 4 October to Sunday, 6 October 2024) All inclusive – Stand, vehicle Klipkopje dam gate fees & Water Fest entrance for 2 people. R150 per additional person (max 8 people per stand)
Travelling Tented Hotel
Retreat to nature’s embrace at our Traveling Tented Hotel. These cozy canvas domes provide a secluded, private space for you to relax, unwind, and commune with the outdoors.
Each tent comes fitted with 2 x stretchers, 2 x chairs, and a table—you just need to bring your own bedding, cutlery, and food to make it your home away from home.
But this isn’t just a place to sleep, you will also have the Water Fest on your doorstep.
R1 800 per tent for the weekend (4 – 6 October 2024), includes 2 x Water Fest entry Tickets & 1 Inside parking ticket.
Parking and Shuttle service
Families are more than welcome to come with their own transport, we have limited VIP Parking tickets for sale @ R200 per vehicle / Public Parking – R20
Park with Peace of Mind: Enjoy hassle-free parking at the Water Fest with ample public parking and dedicated security guards.
The minimal parking fee of only R20 ensures that your vehicle is safe while you soak up the festival fun. Funds raised through the public parking will be used for the “Get Des to Egypt” project.
Transfers
There will be free transfers from the public parking area to the Water Fest Gate if you are not lucky enough to park close by, follow us on Facebook or visit our website for final info with regards to parking.

What to bring… and not to bring
At the Water Fest, we strive to make the event accessible and enjoyable for everyone. That’s why we’ve kept entry fees affordable while offering a wide range of activities included in the price. We ask that you support our vendors by buying food and drinks on-site instead of bringing your own cooler boxes. Our food stalls offer a variety of delicious and affordable options, and the bars provide a wide selection of drinks at reasonable prices. By purchasing from our vendors, you’re not just treating yourself to a great time, you’re also supporting local family or businesses and helping to ensure the success of the Water Fest for years to come. So please leave your coolers at home and join us in supporting our vendors while enjoying the best that the Water Fest has to offer.
Ready to make a splash at the Water Fest? Pack your sunscreen, inflatables, and flip-flops for a fun-filled day! Even though we have ample seating, you are welcome to bring your own chairs and blankets for maximum comfort, and an umbrella for some shade. But most importantly, bring your best attitude and get ready to soak up the sun, sand, and vibes.

Families with Toddlers
The Terrace is the ideal spot for parents to unwind while their children play to their hearts’ content. Located close to the main stage and adjacent to the designated toddler play area, toilets and a baby changing station, the terrace boasts a stunning view of the dam and allows parents to stay in the loop while enjoying a few moments of well-deserved rest. Watch your little ones explore soft toys, mini water slides, and jumping castles in a safe and secure environment, all while soaking in the electrifying atmosphere of Water Fest.

SAFETY DISPLAY – SAPS Diving squad & Security Services Display – The Water Fest puts safety first, but we also know how to make learning a fun experience. Witness the local forces show off their rescue and safety skills in a captivating safety display that’ll have you on the edge of your seat. See the daring dives of the rescue squad, the quick reactions of the security team, and the swift assistance of the medics.
ON STAGE – Get ready for an action-packed stage show at the Water Fest, where the entertainment never stops! Our MC will be keeping you on your toes with spontaneous games and interactive activities for people of all shapes, sizes, and ages. The Makro Potjiekos Challenge is a recipe for team-building, creativity and friendly competition. Makro Mbombela, is the sponsor for this interactive cooking event, and they will provide a pantry of ingredients and prizes for all participating teams. From the first taste of homemade stew to the last bite of a bitesize tasting portion, you’ll be fueling friendly rivalries and unforgettable memories. Imagine the friendly bickering between teams as they race to grab ingredients, the laughter as teams presents their dishes with flair, and the camaraderie as everyone sits down to enjoy the fruits (or should I say stews) of their labor.
